Breaker is a podcast listening and discovery application. Most podcasts are free, but serious publishers are spending big budgets to make high quality audio content like Serial, which hit 100 million downloads and made podcasts mainstream. 67 million Americans are already listening to podcasts a month. Breaker wants to sign exclusive deals to distribute the best premium podcasts and charge users $6 per month. First, its goal is to build a huge listener audience by making the best podcast consumption app. It launched today, and will offer podcasters ways to connect and get feedback from their community, and analytics about what content performs best. It has a stunning 67% retention rate after a month for beta users. If it can convince people to pay for what’s often free, it could become the preferred place for podcasters to talk.

The coach helps the user bust negative emotions of past failures in weight-loss and increase motivation by linking short-term achievable goals with the user's personal values. Through the program, the user is able to self-identify triggers of unhealthy habit adoption and make better decisions. Breathe Well-being has demonstrated success in helping people lose weight, build long-term healthy habits and reduce/eliminate medication for lifestyle diseases (example - Type 2 Diabetes). We are looking for ideas to improve our sales processes so that we can get users to enrol at a higher conversion rate post our 1-week free trial. We need to identify triggers when users are most likely to pay and provide them with a seamless process for paying on-the-spot.

Bump was acquired by Google in 2013. The Bump and Flock apps were shut down, but our unreleased Photoroll app went on to become the basis for Google Photos, which we led from inception to more than 1B users. Bump let you exchange contact info and photos by bumping phones together. Bump was one of the all-time top mobile apps, amassing more than 150M installs by 2013. Flock was a semi-automated photo sharing app that figured out which photos you took with which friends and created private shared albums. Bump was co-founded in 2009 and received funding from Y Combinator, Sequoia, and Andreessen-Horowitz. We were based in Mountain View, CA.
